Benefits of getting an LPA
An LPA is a legal document allowing you to appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf. This document is incredibly important if you cannot make decisions due to illness, disability, or the natural ageing process.
It covers decisions about your finances, properties, health, and welfare. An LPA will:
- Save you time and money
With an LPA in place, a person of your choosing can manage your affairs without the need for costly and time-consuming court proceedings.
- Ensure that wishes are respected
It lets you specify your preferences regarding finances, medical treatment, and other essential matters. This guarantees that they will be respected even if you cannot express them yourself.
- Facilitate smooth transition
It simplifies looking after your affairs and transitioning responsibilities to those you trust if you become unable to manage yourself. This provides clarity and reduces stress for you and your loved ones.
Why the LPA cost is actually an investment
While the do-it-yourself route for creating an LPA may seem cost-effective initially, it's important to consider the potential risks and complexities involved.
Professional guidance can offer these crucial advantages:
- Avoid mistakes
LPA Now consultants are trained and experienced in navigating legal processes. They can make sure all necessary steps are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Tailored legal advice
We can provide personalised guidance based on your circumstances. This will help you make informed decisions that align with your wishes and needs.
- Long-term planning
We can help you develop a strategy to protect your long-term interests (and those of your loved ones) beyond just creating an LPA.
- Peace of mind
Working with an expert guarantees that your lasting power of attorney is drafted correctly and is legally sound, reducing the risk of future disputes or challenges.

Mirror LPA
If you and your spouse or partner want to create the same LPA, you can make your two LPAs together at a reduced cost.
Choose Mirror LPAs if:
- You both want to appoint each other or the same person as your attorney (or both)
- You both want to give your attorney the same permissions and instructions
- You both want to appoint each other or the same person as your replacement attorney (or both)
If you prefer different instructions or different attorneys (besides each other), we suggest getting single LPAs.
